The Junior Beefmaster Breeders Association was founded in 1984, as more and more young cattlemen became involved in the Beefmaster breed. JBBA is currently one of the fastest-growing junior beef breed associations with members hailing from across the United States.

JBBA offers a complete and well-rounded slate of programs for all members that covers every aspect of the beef industry. This allows members to gain valuable knowledge and experience to be better prepared to be leaders in the agriculture industry.

The JBBA Junior Board leads the 800-member junior organization and has the opportunity to develop leadership skills beyond the state and regional level. Each member is elected to serve a two-year term and during the term will develop and grow the programs and opportunities offered to JBBA members. Board members will also have the privilege of traveling and promoting the Beefmaster breed at events around the country.

The JBBA Junior Ambassador program was formed in 2020 as a leadership opportunity for younger members. JBBA Ambassadors are elected each year at the National Show and Convention and assist the Board of Directors in representing JBBA and the Beefmaster breed.

Margie Lowery has been in the ICU since Friday, October 15 with congestive heart failure. Please be in prayer for them as her medical team works to help her get better. They will appreciate the thoughts and prayers.
Positive Maternal Heterosis
Nothing is more adaptable than the Beefmaster female. She’s built to withstand extremes — from heat and cold, to desert, prairie and coastal plains. Research shows the breed ranks above others for feed efficiency, one of the most important production traits. So if your cow herd has lost its ability to adapt to changing times or challenging environments, maybe it’s time to rebuild with proven, Beefmaster females. Nothing beats a Beefmaster.
