B.E.E.F. Foundation for the Future Campaign Issues Matching Challenge

The “Foundation for the Future” endowment campaign launched in October 2017 and is an initiative to secure a permanent financial base which will enable the Beefmaster Educational Endowment Foundation (B.E.E.F.) to aggressively accomplish research and education. This endowment campaign will help to both enhance the breed and provide credible scientific research and information for BBU members and the public on the benefits of the Beefmaster breed.

The goal for phase one of the campaign was to secure $1 million in pledges and this goal was completed prior to the public launch in October 2017. We are now in phase two of the campaign and the goal is to raise $2 million in pledges, which may be paid over five years, in 2018.

To reach this goal, B.E.E.F. has issued a matching challenge through an anonymous donor. The donor is offering a matching pledge of up to $10,000 and will match donations made to the B.E.E.F. General Fund between now and May 31, 2018. For example, if you donate $5,000 to the B.E.E.F. General Fund, then the anonymous donor will also donate $5,000.

Please note that donations eligible for the challenge must be ear marked for the General Fund versus Endowment, Research, Education, etc., and be made before May 31. All new foundation campaign donors and those who may have increased their respective pledges will be formally recognized each year at BBU’s convention and throughout the year. All donations to B.E.E.F. are fully tax-deductible as provided by law.
