Officer Elections by Proxy ONLY
This year BBU officer elections will be completed via voting proxy ONLY. Your membership voting proxy has been mailed to the address we have on file for your membership account. The proxy was mailed two weeks ago, so if you did not receive it please let us know. We ask that you please complete your proxy as soon as possible and return it using the provided prepaid envelope.
General Membership Meeting
Although we will not have our normal convention this year, we are still hosting our annual general membership meeting via Zoom web conference. The membership meeting and election results will be held via web conference on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. This meeting is open to all BBU members and you can join the meeting via Zoom by clicking the link here and registering for the meeting. Once you register and are approved, you will receive a confirmation email that will provide instructions on how to join the meeting via Zoom.
Please note: no election voting will take place during the meeting, votes will ONLY be taken via proxy this year.
Board of Directors Meeting

Isa Beefmasters, LLC 59th Beefmaster Bull Sale Report
Isa Beefmasters, LLC’s 59th Beefmaster bull sale was held October 3rd in San Angelo, Texas. It was an excellent sale; with 45 buyers from 9 states, Costa Rica and Mexico taking home 118 Beefmaster bulls at an average of $4864. Isa’s President, Lorenzo Lasater, stated the sale was strong, with excellent demand for good Beefmaster genetics even in an “unprecedented” year. Auctioneer Joe Goggins of Billings, MT sold the 118 bulls in the blistering time of 1 hour, 39 minutes.
The high-selling bull, L Bar 9124, sold to Greg Tatum of Texas for $17,000. This awesome young herd sire prospect is the son of Schneider 0481 and L Bar 7111 and was one of the overall top performers in the offering.
Texas Validation RUSH!
Texas validation deadline is November 1st! We are getting lots of transfers and registrations in the office, make sure you have all of your paperwork lined up and are ready for the Texas validation deadline.

Fall 2020 Genetic Evaluation Posted
The 2020 Fall Genetic Evaluation is now available at www.beefmasters.org. This summary compiles the massive amounts of data collected by Beefmaster breeders, as well as the more recently collected genomic results, into the best possible predictions of each animal’s genetic merit.
