Beefmaster Breeders United is now accepting internship applications

BOERNE, Texas – Beefmaster Breeders United (BBU) is now accepting applications for the summer communications internship. The Livestock Publications Council (LPC) is pleased to partner with BBU to offer the 2018 LPC Summer Internship. One student communicator will receive $4,500 and the chance to work for a leading cattle breed organization.

The selected intern will assist with projects in the communications department, production of The Beefmaster Pay Weight and assist in association event management.

The internship will provide experience in writing, design, social media, videography, photography, editing, proofing, communicating with clients and managing projects.

College juniors or seniors are encouraged to apply and membership in Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT) is preferred but not mandatory. Writing and editing skills are highly recommended, along with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, InDesign, Photoshop and AP (Associated Press) style.

The internship will span from approximately mid-May to mid-August, with specific start and end dates depending on the applicant’s availability. Applications are due Dec. 1.
